I have always been a creative person, and finally decided to take the leap 2 years ago and follow my muse....The shabby cottage style is my niche, and I so enjoy creating one of a kind designs to reflect this charming look, using both new and vintage fabrics and laces. I love cottage florals, especially roses, and the softly muted shades of well loved fabrics. My signature items include comfy pillows, unique totes and purses, one of a kind cottage diaper bags, patchwork pincushions, and hanging pocket pillows, but I will also, along the way, makeover old chairs, stools, sewing baskets, and anything else that catches my fancy.
I am also a fabric collage artist. My vintage fabric collages combine my love of vintage textiles and my love of words. Words are powerful and a beautiful phrase can evoke such emotion.

I collect old vintage frames throughout the year to frame each collage in. I have lots of new ideas for my collages, including using mixed media/altered art type images along with fabric. I love antique images and postcards and the idea of them worked into a collage.....
A junker at heart, I have always loved all things old, antiques and vintage linens, lace, quilts, fabrics. I am truly inspired by the old handcrafts of women, the amount of time put into old handwork like tatting and embroidery, quilting, spinning and weaving is amazing. I believe that these vintage pieces, when found, deserve to be recreated into beautiful new creations, a memoir to the meticulous hands of a long ago time.
I come from 3 generations of "stitchers". My mother taught me how to sew and her mother, my Nanny was a designer for her own square dance dress company, a company her and my Papa built from nothing. She started small and built it into a thriving family business.

It makes me smile to think of her looking down on me, as I sit down to my sewing machine.
I design and sew full time in my studio, a wonderful open rafter attic space that my sweet husband did for me.
I'm so glateful to be on this journey, doing what I love, and hope as you browse that you will find something you "love" as well.
